Driven by our vision to make quality education accessible to all, we have designed this course to not only build your career but also empower you to serve society effectively.

Our certificate is valid nationwide and accepted by employers, institutions, and private practices. Join our mission and become part of a community that is transforming lives through education.

We Are Here to Solve Real Problems—And to Teach You How

CMS&ED is not just a certificate. It is our answer to the gaps that hurt our villages and our people. We keep problem-solving at the centre of everything we do—and we teach the course in a way that builds confidence, skill, and heart.

The Problems We Are Targeting

In countless villages and semi-urban areas, people still lack access to basic primary care. There are too few trained hands to diagnose common ailments, give first aid, dispense essential medicines, or refer serious cases in time. Families travel far for small problems; many delay care until it is too late. We believe every community deserves a trusted, skilled primary health worker—someone who can reduce suffering, prevent complications, and bring dignity to rural healthcare. CMS&ED is designed to create exactly that: capable, confident practitioners who can run a primary health clinic and serve their area with competence and care.

How We Teach—With You in Mind

We do not just deliver a syllabus; we build your confidence step by step. Our faculty teaches with real cases, live demos, and hands-on practice so that theory turns into skill you can use from day one. We focus on clarity, repetition of important topics, and doubt-clearing sessions so that no one is left behind. Mentorship and career guidance are part of our promise—because your success is our mission. We teach with patience, respect, and the belief that every student who joins us can become a change-maker in their community.

How the Course Is Delivered

The course is structured so that you learn in a clear, phased way: theory in the classroom, practical training with demonstrations and practice, and a mandatory 6-month internship so you experience real-world primary care before you start your own practice. Assessment is designed to check both knowledge and application—we want you to pass with understanding, not by rote. From day one to certification, you are supported by our team and our values: integrity, compassion, and a commitment to serving those who need healthcare the most.

Join us. Learn with purpose. Serve with heart.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – CMS&ED Course

Common questions about Community Medical Service & Essential Drugs (CMS&ED) diploma, eligibility, career, and practice rights in India

After completing the CMS&ED course, can I practice in any area?

Yes. After completing the CMS&ED (Community Medical Service & Essential Drugs) course, you can run a primary health clinic anywhere in India in rural and semi-urban areas. This right is protected by the Supreme Court of India. The Court has held that CMS diploma holders have the right not only to treat the rural population but also to prescribe medicines and issue medical certificates within the prescribed scope.

Supreme Court reference: The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India stated: “It is unjust to allow them only to treat the rural population without the consequential right to prescribe medicines or issue medical certificates.” CMS & ED diploma holders are permitted to provide primary health care in rural and semi-urban areas and to prescribe WHO-recommended essential drugs. Full order details are available from official CMS & ED council sources.
Do I need to register with the CMO (Chief Medical Officer) after CMS&ED?

No. The Supreme Court order clearly states that no separate registration with the CMO or any other body is required after completing CMS&ED. You must practice within the prescribed norms and scope. Your marksheet and certificate from the awarding body (e.g. Jan Ayush Sansthan) serve as your registration for practice in rural and semi-urban primary health care.

Useful detail: As per the Supreme Court of India, CMS & ED certificate holders are not required to register separately with the CMO office or state medical council for practicing within the course scope. The nationally valid certificate and marksheet are sufficient for the validity of your practice.
What is CMS&ED (Community Medical Service & Essential Drugs)?

CMS&ED stands for Community Medical Service & Essential Drugs. It is a diploma-level healthcare course designed to train professionals for primary health care in rural and semi-urban India. The curriculum covers community medicine, essential drugs (WHO-recommended list), preventive care, first aid, and basic treatment of common ailments. Graduates are qualified to run primary health clinics and provide essential medical services in underserved areas, as recognized by the Supreme Court of India.

What is the duration and eligibility for the CMS&ED course?

The CMS&ED course at MPYPCP has a duration of 18 months (1.5 years), including a 6-month mandatory internship after theory and practical training. What career opportunities and job roles are available after CMS&ED?

After completing CMS&ED, you can work as a primary healthcare provider, community health worker, rural medical practitioner, or clinic owner in rural and semi-urban areas. Career options include: running your own primary health clinic, working in PHCs (Primary Health Centres), dispensaries, NGO health projects, and government health programs. The nationally valid certificate is accepted by employers and institutions across India. Self-employment as a clinic owner is a major opportunity, with Supreme Court protection for practice and prescription rights.

Is the CMS&ED certificate valid across India and nationally recognized?

Yes. The CMS&ED certificate from MPYPCP is nationally valid and recognized across India. It is accepted by employers, primary health centres, dispensaries, and institutions for roles in community medical service and essential drugs practice. The certificate is verifiable online and holds lifetime validity. Along with the Supreme Court order supporting practice rights, the diploma enables you to work or set up a primary health clinic in any state within the prescribed rural and semi-urban scope.

Can CMS&ED holders prescribe medicines and issue medical certificates?

Yes. As per the Supreme Court of India, CMS & ED diploma holders have the right to prescribe medicines (within the WHO essential drugs list and prescribed scope) and issue medical certificates when practicing in rural and semi-urban areas. You can: (1) Open your own primary health clinic; (2) Join Primary Health Centres (PHCs), dispensaries, or community health programmes; (3) Work with NGOs and government health schemes; (4) Take up roles as community health worker, rural medical officer, or primary care provider. The Supreme Court order supports your right to practice and prescribe within the prescribed scope without additional registration.

What is the scope of CMS&ED in rural healthcare in India?

The scope of CMS&ED in rural healthcare is significant. India has a large rural and semi-urban population with limited access to primary care. CMS & ED trained professionals fill this gap by providing community medical service, essential drugs, preventive care, and basic treatment.
