Dhyana (meditation) is the seventh limb of Ashtanga Yoga (YS III.1–2) — progression from Dharana (concentration) to unbroken meditative flow. Taught in DYeD, DYTT, and pranayama-meditation programmes. Complements Yoga Nidra A10 (relaxation, not classical dhyana).

हिंदी

ध्यान — अष्टांग का सातवाँ अंग (YS III.1–2) — धारणा से निरंतर meditative flow। DYeD, DYTT, pranayama-meditation में। योग निद्रा A10 (विश्राम, classical ध्यान नहीं)।

Distinction: Yoga Nidra = systematic relaxation (BSY). Dhyana = meditative absorption (Patanjali).

Basic method (education): EN — Sit stable (Sukhasana); 5 min breath awareness; gently introduce mantra or trataka under teacher. HI — Sukhasana; 5 मिन श्वास; guru से mantra/trataka।
