Yoga Volunteer (YV)
Detailed student guide for Yoga Volunteer (YV) under the Yoga Certification Board (Ministry of AYUSH). Read the role, study pattern, and syllabus context here — then jump to MPYPCP training, official PDFs, and the YCB examination portal.

Most MPYPCP batches combine live classes, demonstrations, and guided self-practice. Your exact timetable, contact-hour plan, and internal assessments are confirmed on the programme page after admission — use it together with the official YCB syllabus PDF below.
Who is this level for?
Beginners and community members who want to promote wellness through yoga in parks, societies, IDY events, and voluntary settings — before taking a full instructor role.
Role in real programmes
Volunteers typically support NGOs, residential welfare associations, corporate wellness days, and school or college IDY programmes. The emphasis is on facilitation and encouragement — not diagnosing or prescribing — which builds confidence before you commit to a full teaching qualification.
In simple words
This is the entry YCB role: you learn safe basics and how to support group sessions and public yoga activities. MPYPCP's 50-hour pathway aligns with this level; the official certificate comes from YCB after you pass their exam.
Remember: MPYPCP provides training; YCB certifies through its MIS portal (enrolment fee, exam fee, PrCB or accredited centre, exam calendar). See official-style steps on our YCB page. हिंदी मार्गदर्शिका

Syllabus, PDF & how MPYPCP covers it
The YCB syllabus PDF lists official theory and practical units, indicative contact hours, and how you will be examined. MPYPCP maps its 50-hour programme to these outcomes; your centre may spread theory, demonstrations, and supervised practice across multiple sessions. Always keep the PDF open while you revise — it is the authoritative outline for the national exam.
What you will be ready for
- Safe basics of yoga practice and lifestyle pointers suitable for volunteers
- How to assist in group sessions and community / IDY-type activities
- Communication and ethics when promoting health through yoga
- Orientation toward Ministry of AYUSH common protocol where applicable
- Knowing when to refer participants to qualified instructors or clinicians
Documents (admission)
Usually: Aadhaar, 10th/12th marksheet and certificate where applicable, passport-size photo, active mobile number and email. The final checklist appears during online admission.
Fees: training vs certification
MPYPCP (institute)
Pays for tuition, mentor support, internal assessments, and campus logistics on your chosen programme. Amounts, instalment choices, and what is included are always listed on the linked course page plus central fee information.
YCB (national exam)
When you register for certification you pay YCB enrolment and examination fees yourself via the YCB MIS portal. MPYPCP does not collect those government charges on your behalf.
Two steps students follow
- Join MPYPCP training — open the programme above, complete admission, attend classes, and finish internal requirements.
- Book the YCB exam — when ready, use YCB Registration, pay YCB fees, and choose PrCB or accredited centre and exam date per YCB how-to-apply.
Official YCB source (Ministry of AYUSH)
Level details, syllabus, exam rules, and the national certificate are issued by the Yoga Certification Board (YCB), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. This page is a student guide from MPYPCP — always confirm fees, dates, and formats on the official portal.

Next step on the YCB ladder
When you want to lead the common AYUSH yoga protocol for groups as a certified instructor, move to YCB Level 1 — Yoga Protocol Instructor (still a 50-hour entry course at MPYPCP, but a different YCB examination than YV).
